Program

Hotel pickup and
board the Kuranda Scenic Railway

You are picked up from your Cairns hotel in a premium vehicle and taken to the Kuranda Scenic Railway station. Receive your Kuranda boarding pass with pre-assigned Scenic Railway and Skyrail tickets and a detailed map. Board the 8:50 AM train and enjoy the views as you pass through hand-carved tunnels and over bridges spanning gorges.

Explore Kuranda village for an hour

When you arrive in Kuranda at around 10:30 AM, you have 1 hour of free time. Browse the many shops and the daily Heritage Markets.

Glide back down over the rainforest on the Skyrail

At 11:30 AM, board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and glide quietly over the rainforest to the station at Caravonica Lakes. At the two stops along the way, you can get off to walk through the rainforest to lookouts or visit the CSIRO interpretive centre. The coach departs for Cairns at 12:40 PM.
