From Queenstown: Milford Sound Return Scenic Flight & Cruise - Hotel Pickup

After pickup from your accommodation by free shuttle or Queenstown taxi, travel to the base in Frankton to check in. After takeoff from Queenstown, fly over the rugged backcountry of Central Otago and head west to where glacier-fed rivers flow into Lake Wakatipu.

Fly over Mount Aspiring National Park and the World Heritage–listed Fiordland National Park and look down on landscapes shaped by nature over countless years. Each flight takes 30–40 minutes, and every seat is a window seat.

Explore the fiord on a 2-hour small-boat cruise

At Milford Sound, enjoy a relaxing 2-hour cruise on a purpose-built small boat. Cruise along the fiord past Mitre Peak as the skipper points out highlights such as Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls.

Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water are served during the cruise, and you can look for wildlife such as seals, dolphins and, seasonally, the rare Fiordland crested penguin. No food is served on the cruise, so please bring a small bag of food and drinks.

Return to Queenstown on a different route

On the return, fly over the Southern Alps on a different route and enjoy an aerial view of largely untouched wilderness. As you land in Queenstown, the blue waters of Lake Wakatipu welcome you. After landing, you are dropped back at your accommodation.
