Meet your jump master at the Shotover Canyon Swing booking office in central Queenstown and take a 15-minute 4WD ride to the canyon. After getting out of the vehicle, take a short walk to the platform standing 109 m above the Shotover River.

Choose your jump style and how you leave

Jump solo or with a partner, choosing from more than 70 jump styles such as forward, backward, chop and drop, and the chair. You can jump off the platform yourself or have the jump master release the rope, and experienced jump masters stay with you from start to finish.

Free fall 60 m and swing 200 m

During the 60 m free fall, you pass so close to the rock cliff that it feels like you could touch it. After 3–4 seconds of free fall, it transitions smoothly into a 200 m swing. Afterwards, you return to Queenstown by vehicle; the whole experience including the round trip takes about 2 hours 30 minutes.
