Walk through Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland

Your first stop is Wai-O-Tapu, one of Rotorua's most striking geothermal areas. For about 1.5 hours, walk trails past bubbling mud pools, steaming craters, volcanic lakes and vivid mineral terraces, and take photos at the Champagne Pool. Then enjoy about 45 minutes for lunch in Rotorua, chosen from a set menu on the day.

In the afternoon, spend about 1.5 hours on the one experience you selected when booking. On the Te Puia guided tour, explore the geothermal valley and Pōhutu Geyser while learning about Māori traditions and craftsmanship, or relax in natural geothermal mineral pools overlooking Lake Rotorua at the Polynesian Spa Deluxe Lake Spa.

The Redwoods Treewalk takes you along elevated walkways among towering redwoods, while the Secret Spot Hot Tubs offer a private cedar hot tub surrounded by native forest plus a nature walk. Rotorua Canopy Tours is a zipline adventure through native forest. Afterwards, relax on the scenic drive back to Auckland.
