Depart from your Auckland hotel
for the Coromandel Peninsula

After pickup from your selected hotel in central Auckland, head south through the scenic Waikato countryside in a premium climate-controlled minibus. Enjoy onboard refreshments, bottled water, and free internet along the way, accompanied by a driver-guide who knows the region well.

After a 15-minute break in the Thames-Coromandel District, pass through native forest and along the coastline to your first stop, Cathedral Cove.

Starting at the northern end of the beach, the track follows the clifftops before descending to the cove. Admire the huge arched cavern that cuts through a white rock headland to link two secluded bays, and spend about 1.5 hours taking photos and swimming at your own pace.

Then stop at Hahei for about 45 minutes for lunch at a beachside café or elsewhere (lunch at your own expense).

Dig your own hot pool
at Hot Water Beach

Hot Water Beach is a geothermal beach where natural hot water rises up through the sand. Spend about 1.5 hours digging your own spa pool, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying the coastal views. After a good soak, return to Auckland with another break in the Thames-Coromandel District.
