Highlights
Depart from Banff, Canmore or Calgary and visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, two of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies. Since 2024 the road to Moraine Lake has been closed to personal vehicles, so a tour bus is the easiest way to reach the shoreline. You spend 1 hour 20 minutes at each lake, taking in the turquoise glacial water, towering peaks and evergreen forests. Along the way, your guide shares stories about Banff National Park and its famous sights.
Program
Leave Banff, Canmore or Calgary
and head into the Canadian Rockies
Board an air-conditioned tour bus at the departure point of your chosen option and travel into Banff National Park. On the way you pass Castle Mountain while your guide tells you about the park and its landmarks. Wi-Fi and bottled water are provided on board.
See turquoise Moraine Lake up close
Your first stop is Moraine Lake, where you stay for about 1 hour 20 minutes. Stroll along the shore and take photos of the glacial lake beneath the towering peaks. The road to Moraine Lake has been closed to personal vehicles since 2024, so the tour bus makes the visit easy.
Wander the shores of Lake Louise
After a 30-minute drive you arrive at Lake Louise and again have about 1 hour 20 minutes to walk the lakeshore, go on a short hike or take photos at your own pace. After enjoying the evergreen forest and mountain views, ride the bus back to your departure point.
※ The bus does not wait more than 5 minutes at each stop, so please follow the departure time announced by the driver.
※ Winter options visit Lake Louise and Marble Canyon instead of Moraine Lake.
