Depart from Calgary, Canmore, or Banff
and tour the Rockies' highlights in a day

Get picked up at your chosen point: Delta Hotels Calgary Downtown (8:00 AM), the Canmore Visitor Information Centre (9:30 AM), or Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa (9:50 AM), and set off in an air-conditioned vehicle. A local guide accompanies you, and the whole tour takes about 8 to 10 hours including travel. On the way, stop briefly at Castle Mountain for photos.

See Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park

Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park gets its deep green color from mineral-rich water flowing down from the surrounding mountains. It is quieter than Lake Louise or Moraine Lake, and you can stroll along the shore for about 40 minutes. Next, stop for about 15 minutes at the Natural Bridge, a rock formation carved by the Kicking Horse River, and take photos.

Admire the turquoise waters of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake

After a 45-minute lunch break in Lake Louise village, head to Lake Louise. Spend about 45 minutes taking in the turquoise lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers, along with the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

At Moraine Lake, enjoy the turquoise water framed by the Valley of the Ten Peaks for about an hour. You can walk the Rockpile Trail for a panoramic view of the lake.

Hike Johnston Canyon and stop in Banff town

At Johnston Canyon, walk the canyon trail past waterfalls cascading down the rock walls. Hike about 45 minutes to the Lower Falls and about 30 minutes to the Upper Falls. Finally, spend about 45 minutes exploring or shopping in Banff town before returning to your pickup point.
