Departing from Calgary, Canmore and Banff, this full-day tour covers Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Johnston Canyon and the town of Banff. At Moraine Lake, your guide leads you up the Rockpile Trail for views over the Valley of the Ten Peaks; in winter, Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge are visited instead. At Johnston Canyon you hike to the Lower Falls. A fun all-day photo challenge, with tips from your guide, helps you capture great travel photos. Entrance fees to all destinations are included.

Start the day at Lake Louise
Depart from your pickup point in Calgary, Canmore or Banff and pass Sulphur Mountain, the Bow River, Castle Mountain and Mount Temple as your guide shares stories along the way. At your first stop, Lake Louise, spend about 45 minutes walking along the shore and admiring the turquoise water, the Victoria Glacier and the surrounding peaks. Then stop at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for about 15 minutes to enjoy a coffee or browse for souvenirs.
Overlook the Valley of the Ten Peaks
from the Moraine Lake Rockpile Trail

During the Moraine Lake season, spend about 45 minutes at the lake and climb the Rockpile Trail with your guide for elevated views of the emerald water and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. If time allows, your guide can also show you photo spots away from the main viewpoints.
In winter, when Moraine Lake is closed, visit Emerald Lake (about 30 minutes) and the Natural Bridge (about 15 minutes) in Yoho National Park instead, strolling the lakeshore and taking photos.
Lunch at Samson Mall and a hike
to the Lower Falls of Johnston Canyon

Stop at Samson Mall for about 45 minutes to enjoy simple local food for lunch. When weather and conditions allow, you can also eat at a nearby picnic area. Then spend about 1.5 hours hiking through Johnston Canyon, past forest, canyon walls and rushing water, to the Lower Falls.
Enjoy free time in Banff
and wrap up the photo challenge

If you are returning to Calgary or Canmore, enjoy about 1.5 hours of shopping and dining on Banff Avenue. If you are staying in Banff, your guide selects two nearby stops, such as Lake Minnewanka, Cascade Ponds or Bow Falls, depending on the day.
The all-day photo challenge continues until the end of the tour, and the winner receives a prize.
