Take a bus from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku and explore the Pacific coast of Ibaraki Prefecture in one day. Look out over the Pacific from Oarai Isosaki Shrine, famous for its torii gate standing on the coastal rocks, then choose fresh sushi and grilled seafood for lunch at Nakaminato Fish Market. In the afternoon, stroll freely through Hitachi Seaside Park, where different flowers such as nemophila and kochia bloom each season. The guide speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese, and admission to Hitachi Seaside Park must be paid on site.

Leave Tokyo by bus
for Ibaraki's Pacific coast
Depending on your option, depart from the LOVE sculpture in Shinjuku (meet at 08:00) or the Marunouchi North Exit of JR Tokyo Station (meet at 08:30). Travel for about 2 hours in an air-conditioned vehicle; the vehicle size (10–45 seats) is decided by the number of participants on the day.
See the seaside torii
at Oarai Isosaki Shrine

The first stop is Oarai Isosaki Shrine, a Shinto shrine founded in the 9th century. During about 1 hour with your guide, admire the sacred torii gate standing on the coastal rocks and the endless view of the Pacific Ocean.
Pick your seafood lunch
at Nakaminato Fish Market

Located right next to the fishing port, Nakaminato Fish Market receives fresh seafood every day. Enjoy about 1.5 hours of free time for lunch, browsing fresh sushi, grilled scallops and crab, seasonal seafood, local snacks, and souvenirs. Lunch is at your own expense, or you can bring your own.
Enjoy seasonal flower scenery
at Hitachi Seaside Park

In the afternoon, spend about 2 hours of free time at Hitachi Seaside Park, where different flowers bloom on the vast coastal hills each season: nemophila, tulips, and daffodils in spring; sunflowers, lavender, and zinnias in summer; kochia and cosmos in autumn; and plum blossoms and ice tulips in winter. In spring, more than 5 million nemophila cover the hills in blue, usually from early April to early May.
The park also has walking paths, a giant Ferris wheel, cycling areas, and open lawns. Depart the park at 16:00 and arrive at Tokyo Station around 18:00.
※ Flower blooming times and conditions depend on the weather and are not guaranteed.
※ During Japanese public holidays and peak seasons, the return may be delayed and time at some attractions may be shortened.
