This is a walking tour of about 4 hours with an English-speaking guide through Rome's Trastevere district, tasting 20 dishes at 4 places loved by locals. Unlimited fine wine is served at each stop, and dinner is included.

Pick your own trapizzino

The tour starts at Trapizzino. Choose your favorite filling, from classic Roman recipes to burrata and anchovies, parmigiana di melanzane and meatballs, paired with fine wine or craft beer.

Taste aged cheese and ham at a salumeria

Next, head to a salumeria to taste 36-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP drizzled with 30-year-aged traditional balsamic vinegar of Reggio Emilia, and 24-month-aged Prosciutto di Parma. Bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil DOP and green and red pesto, Parmigiano cream with truffle and more are also served, with a glass of DOCG wine.

Finish with pasta, pizza and gelato

At a restaurant popular with locals, taste fresh homemade pasta and pizza from an old wood-fired oven, along with several wines.

Finally, at an artisanal gelateria, try flavors such as Sicilian pistachio and Amalfi Coast lemon and learn how to recognize authentic gelato. The tour ends near Via Cardinale Marmaggi, a different place from the starting point.
