Choose your preferred silhouette in premium Okayama denim, known for its quality, and add patches, buttons and rivets to create a one-of-a-kind pair. Experienced staff guide you step by step, so first-timers can join with ease. You take your finished jeans home as a special souvenir of your trip to Japan.

Learn how Japanese jeans are made
at a denim workshop in Harajuku

The experience takes place at the Daruma Jeans workshop near Harajuku Station. Start with an introduction to premium Japanese denim and learn how authentic Japanese jeans are carefully crafted.

Choose your silhouette and details

Pick the silhouette you like and customize your jeans with patches, rivets and buttons. One patch, six rivets and one button are included, and extra rivets and buttons, a selvedge denim upgrade, a premium leather patch and embroidery are available at an additional cost.

Make your jeans with guidance from the staff

In a professional workshop setting, experienced staff guide you through key parts of the production process. Hemming service is included, and the workshop is designed so that beginners can enjoy it comfortably.

Pick up your finished jeans

Jeans without embroidery (hemming and leather patch only) can be picked up from 6:30 PM on the day of the workshop. With embroidery, pickup is available between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM two days after the workshop (e.g. workshop on August 1, pickup on August 3).

※ All jeans are unisex and sizes come in 2-inch increments.
※ Some sizes may be limited depending on current stock.
