Travel by bus from your meeting point in central Seoul to Suwon. Both courses visit Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Korea's most intact Joseon-era fortress, where you'll walk along the walls and discover Korea's architectural and military heritage.
The Classic course explores Korean culture
at the Folk Village and Nammun Market
On the Classic course, explore traditional houses and watch folk performances at the Korean Folk Village to experience everyday life of old Korea. At Suwon Nammun Market, taste street food, browse souvenirs and see modern local life. Every Wednesday from April 15 to November 11, you'll also visit the Gyeonggi Provincial Gugak Center for a cultural program with performances, folk song lessons, traditional games and photo zones.
The Cool Escape course visits
Starfield Library at Starfield Suwon
After Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, the Cool Escape course heads to Starfield Suwon to see Starfield Library with its giant bookshelves.
Explore LED art and an underground world
at Gwangmyeong Cave
The Cool Escape course ends at Gwangmyeong Cave, a former colonial-era gold mine transformed into a 7.8 km underground world with LED installations, a golden waterfall, a cave aquarium and an underground winery. Afterward, return to Seoul.
