The tour was amazing! Sung is a great host who showed us amazing food, the great area and gave us tips for our Korea holiday! He asked us in advance if there are any special diets and since we are vegetarian, he adapted the food stops accordingly. The food he showed us was delicious! We really enjoyed our tour with him, it was one of our highlights in Seoul! So we can highly recommend this tour to everyone:) thanks again, Sung, we will come back :)

Als einzige Teilnehmerin wurde diese Tour noch besonderer als erwartet: Sunghoon schaffte es in kurzer Zeit herauszufinden, an was ich Interesse habe, beantwortete jede Frage zu Land, Kultur und Leuten, gab mir zahlreiche Einblicke in das echte Korea und versorgte mich durchweg mit leckerem Essen sowie jeder Menge Spaß :) Rundum ein klasse Erlebnis, das ich jederzeit wiederholen würde! Wer einen Guide sucht, der voller Energie ist, auch neue Wege geht und es liebt, Besuchern seine Heimat in all ihren Facetten zu zeigen, ist hier genau richtig. Danke für die tolle Zeit, Sunghoon!

This was a great activity to see the many sides of Seoul. The local host Kim Sung Hoon was was very nice and had lots of helpful tips and recommendations. And he also adjusted the route according to preferences. Would definitely recommend to do this tour in the beginning of the trip so you get all the inside tips for the rest of your trip. 10/10.

My tour with Sung was great, I was the only person that day so he adjusted the tour to my preferences and asked me what I wanted to see and do. It was nice hanging out with him, he’s a very friendly and nice guy and will tell you some history details if you’re interested. I recommend checking it out :)

What a wonderful experience! From the air hockey ice breaker to the street food dining along the magnificent Cheonggyecheon Stream, this tour was full Korean culture immersion. The tour expert, Sung, was uber friendly and so easy to talk to about anything and everything there is to know about Seoul.

Highlights

This tour combines shopping, a retro arcade and pojangmacha street food as you walk through Jongno 3-ga and Ikseon-dong. In Ikseon-dong, browse trendy clothing and accessories, traditional souvenirs and unique Korean gift shops, then play games at the retro arcade featured in the drama "Squid Game". Finally, order food yourself with your local guide at an outdoor food tent on Jongno's pojangmacha street and taste street food such as tteokbokki and sundae. The tour is limited to 10 participants.

Meet at Jongno 3-ga and walk
through Ikseon-dong and the pojangmacha street

Meet your English-speaking guide at Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 4 and spend about 2.5 hours exploring Ikseon-dong and the Jongno area on foot. With a maximum of 10 participants, you'll enjoy shopping, a retro arcade and street food with your guide. The tour ends back at the meeting point.

Browse souvenirs and shops in Ikseon-dong

After some time for photos in Ikseon-dong, enjoy about 30 minutes of free time for shopping. Browse trendy clothing and accessories, traditional souvenirs and unique Korean gift shops. Shopping costs are at your own expense.

Play games at the retro arcade from Squid Game

Visit the retro arcade featured in the drama "Squid Game" and play classic arcade games. Arcade game fees are included in the tour.

Taste street food on Jongno's pojangmacha street

Back in Jongno 3-ga, spend about 1.5 hours tasting street food on the street lined with pojangmacha (outdoor street food tents). Order food yourself with your local guide and sit side by side with other guests to soak up Jongno's lively local atmosphere. Enjoy traditional Korean snacks such as tteokbokki and sundae.
