Had a really good time on the tour! Mangwon is a bit less touristy than some of the other markets in Seoul and we had a very chilled, smooth time without much waiting around. The food was excellent and there are a few Korean dishes and drinks in there I think you're unlikely to try otherwise. The drinking games at the end were a bit of fun. The guides were great and did a super job running everything. There is a lot of food, so come hungry!

This street food tour was definitely a worthwhile experience that I would recommend to those less familiar with authentic Korean cuisine. Alicia hosted the event with real enthusiasm and gave impressive insight into the variety of Korean food. The portions in particular were impressive, which meant we could take away anything left over afterwards, so there was no pressure to finish everything. Overall, this was thoroughly enjoyable and deserving of a 5 star rating.

If you're looking to visit a market, forget Gwangjang, even Namdaemun - these are tourist traps. Mangwon is an authentic Korean market experience and this tour is an outstanding gateway into that world. Come hungry and pace yourself - each tasting is almost a meal in itself. When my wife mentioned she was schooled in herbalism, our guide Alicia managed to expertly curate our tour on the fly. Alicia was extremely accommodating each time we stopped her at some random stall showcasing weird and wonderful roots, bark shavings, leaves or plants. That never seemed to faze her and she was ready with answers to all our probing questions. At Mangwon, you'll find a plethora of intriguing sights, smells, sounds and tastes. A very soulful (😉) food journey all in all. You have to do this. We learnt so much and Alicia learned the hard way not to take on a couple of Aussies in a drinking game! 🍻🇦🇺 Five stars.
