Seoul Buam-dong Walking Tour: Parasite Filming Site & Yun Dong-ju Poet's Hill

Ride a bus from Gyeongbokgung Station
to the hillside neighborhood of Buam-dong

Meet your guide outside Exit 3 of Gyeongbokgung Station and take a short 10-minute bus ride to Buam-dong. This quiet hilltop neighborhood is rarely visited by tourists, and you will walk its hillside streets with your guide while hearing the stories hidden around the area.

Visit the Choi Gyu-sik Memorial and Cheongun Literature Library

Your guide introduces the Choi Gyu-sik Memorial, connected to the 1968 North Korean raid on the Blue House, and shares the history of the Cold War era. Then continue to Cheongun Literature Library, Seoul's first hanok library, to look around its traditional space.

Take in mountain views from Yun Dong-ju Poet's Hill

Climb Poet's Hill, introduced as a place where the poet Yun Dong-ju once lived, while learning about Korean literature. From the top, enjoy views of Bugaksan, Inwangsan and Bukhansan mountains.

Pass Changuimun Gate and the Parasite filming site, ending at Mugyewon

The route follows the Seoul City Wall past Changuimun Gate to a hidden filming site from the Oscar-winning film 'Parasite'. The walk ends at Mugyewon, once the villa of Grand Prince Anpyeong. After a short rest in the quiet hanok space, you head back down and return to Gyeongbokgung Station by bus.
