Shanghai Former French Concession Craft Beer Tasting Tour

Start the evening with craft beer
at a Xintiandi gastropub

Meet your local guide at the main entrance of the Langham Hotel in Xintiandi and spend about 3 hours walking around the Former French Concession, visiting three breweries. Your first stop is The Brewer, a gastropub in Xintiandi, where you start the evening with a local wheat beer, pale ale or dark stout.

Taste Shanghai dumplings and traditional liquor in the lanes

Next, stroll through an old neighborhood for a close-up look at traditional Shanghai houses and alleyways. Enjoy Shanghai-style dumplings such as potstickers or wontons, and visit a traditional liquor store where your guide introduces local Chinese spirits and you taste rice wine.

Visit Sinan Mansions and a brewery near Fuxing Park

A walk of about 15 minutes through another historic district brings you to Sinan Mansions, a complex of private villas dating back to the 1920s that has been converted into a lifestyle destination. Here, at Boxing Cat Brewery, taste craft pilsner, lager, stout and a rotating special on tap.

The tour ends with more craft beer at Shanghai Brewery near Fuxing Park. At the end of the night, your guide will help you catch a taxi back to your hotel.
