Highlights
This is an admission ticket to the Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku no Mura), an open-air museum where you can experience what Hokkaido looked like about 100 years ago. Historical buildings built across Hokkaido from the Meiji era to the early Showa era have been relocated here and restored or recreated. Through 52 buildings divided into town, fishing village, farm village and mountain village areas, their streetscapes and the exhibits inside, you can get a sense of life in the pioneering era. It is located inside Nopporo Forest Park, a Hokkaido prefectural nature park in Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo.

The Historical Village of Hokkaido is an open-air museum inside Nopporo Forest Park. Historical buildings built across Hokkaido from the Meiji era to the early Showa era have been relocated here and restored or recreated.
Explore the town, fishing, farm and mountain village areas
There are 52 buildings in total, divided into four areas: town, fishing village, farm village and mountain village. Walking through the streetscapes and looking at the exhibits inside the buildings, you can get a feel for how people lived during the pioneering period.
Check the opening hours and closing days
From May to September, the village is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00 (admission until 16:30). From October to April, it is open from 9:00 to 16:30 (admission until 16:00) and closed every Monday (the following weekday if Monday is a national or substitute holiday) and over the New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3).

The nearest stations are Shin-Sapporo Station (subway), JR Shin-Sapporo Station and JR Shinrinkoen Station. By bus, take JR Hokkaido Bus "Shin 22" bound for Kaitaku no Mura and get off at the "Kaitaku no Mura" stop. By car, it takes about 15 minutes from Sapporo-Minami IC on the Do-O Expressway. This ticket does not give direct entry, so please wait in line and follow the staff's instructions.
