This is a general exhibition ticket for the Hokkaido Museum, a prefectural comprehensive museum that introduces the nature, history and culture of Hokkaido in one place. The exhibition is organized into five themes, including the relationship between nature and people, Ainu culture, and the lives of settlers who came from Honshu. The Hokkaido Museum is a prefectural comprehensive museum introducing the nature, history and culture of Hokkaido. The general exhibition is divided into five themes, including the relationship between nature and people, Ainu culture, and the lives of settlers who came from Honshu.
Touch, watch and listen as you explore the exhibits
There are hands-on exhibits where you can touch real objects, as well as various video and sound displays. Both children and adults can experience the stories of Hokkaido with all their senses.

On the day of your visit, show your QR code at the museum ticket office to enter. Opening hours are 09:30–17:00 from May to September and 09:30–16:30 from October to April, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.

Get off at JR Shin-Sapporo Station / Subway Tozai Line Shin-Sapporo Station, take the JR Hokkaido Bus bound for "Kaitakumura" from stop No. 10 at the bus terminal, and get off at "Hokkaido Hakubutsukan" (about 15 minutes). The museum is right there. By car, it takes about 40 minutes from central Sapporo and about 60 minutes from New Chitose Airport.
