Depart from Chengdu and
see the Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei in a day

Meet at the Chengdu meeting point at 6:30 AM and depart by bus. After visiting Leshan and Mount Emei in turn, the bus leaves at 7:00 PM and arrives in central Chengdu around 9:00 PM, making for a long full day. A guide accompanies you throughout the trip with commentary.

View the Leshan Giant Buddha from a boat on the river

Arriving at the Leshan Giant Buddha scenic area at 8:30 AM, take a sightseeing bus to the water terminal. Board a boat to see the full figure of the Leshan Giant Buddha, a Maitreya Buddha, from the river, then enjoy free time. The guide does not accompany you during the boat ride or free time.

Enjoy a local lunch at Mount Emei and climb to the Golden Summit

Head to Mount Emei at 10:30 AM and have a lunch of local specialties at 11:30 AM. From 12:30 PM, explore the Mount Emei scenic area and ascend the 3,077 m main peak, the Golden Summit.

At the highest viewing platform, see the Golden, Silver and Bronze Halls and the Ten-Directional Samantabhadra statue, and make a wish. If the weather cooperates, you may see natural phenomena such as a sea of clouds or Buddha's light.

Taste Mount Emei tofu pudding and return to Chengdu

At 4:30 PM, take the sightseeing bus down the mountain and enjoy a free tasting of tofu pudding (douhua), a Mount Emei specialty. The bus departs at 7:00 PM and arrives in central Chengdu around 9:00 PM.
