Meet the giant pandas
at the Chengdu Panda Base
Meet in front of Chengdu IFS and travel about 40 minutes by bus to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Spend about 3 hours exploring the base with your guide or on your own, watching the pandas eat, play and nap.
The half-day option ends after your visit to the panda base.
The full-day option continues to the Leshan Giant Buddha
With the full-day option, travel about 2 hours by bus from the panda base to the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area. The 71 m Leshan Giant Buddha, carved over a thousand years ago, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend about 2.5 hours exploring and learn about its history from your guide.
Return comfortably to Chengdu in a small group
Tours run in small groups of up to 15 with an English-speaking guide. After visiting the Leshan Giant Buddha, ride about 2.5 hours by bus back to Chengdu IFS, where the tour started.
