This small-group day tour of up to 15 people starts with pickup from your hotel in central Guilin. This is a small-group day tour of up to 15 people with hotel pickup in central Guilin. Choose the Longji Rice Terraces, the Li River cruise and Yangshuo, or Guilin City Highlights as your option and explore with an English-speaking guide. Groups of 1–6 have a driver-guide, while groups of 7–15 have a separate driver and guide.
Tour 1: Walk the Longji Rice Terraces and the long-hair village
Leave your hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 AM and drive about 2 hours to Huangluo, the Red Yao village famous for its long-hair tradition. See the colorful red costumes and well-preserved way of life.
Then continue to Ping'an Village and walk about 50 minutes along ancient stone paths to the main viewpoints over the Longji Rice Terraces. Lunch is at your own expense; you leave around 4:00 PM and return to your Guilin hotel around 6:00 PM.
Tours 2 & 3: Cruise the Li River to Yangshuo
Leave your hotel between 7:10 and 7:50 AM for the cruise pier, then from 9:20 AM sail down the Li River for about 4 hours on a 3-star or 4-star boat. You pass Nine Horse Fresco Hill and the scenery printed on the 20-yuan note. The 4-star cruise includes a lunch buffet and the 3-star cruise includes a Chinese boxed lunch.
In Yangshuo you meet your guide and stroll West Street with its cafés, shops and craft stores, then walk along the Yulong River among mountains, rice fields and villages. Bikes, scooters and bamboo rafts are available at extra cost; you leave around 5:00 PM and return to your Guilin hotel around 6:30 PM.
Tour 4: See Guilin's city highlights in one day
In the morning, browse a Guilin morning market (snacks at your own expense) and admire the illuminated stalactites and stalagmites of Reed Flute Cave, known as the 'Palace of Natural Arts'. Have lunch at your own expense at East-West Lane and browse its traditional craft shops.
In the afternoon, visit Elephant Trunk Hill, shaped like an elephant drinking from the Li River, then enjoy a 70-minute city waterway cruise (One River Four Lakes) past the Sun and Moon Pagodas and more than 10 bridges before returning to your hotel around 5:00 PM.
※ On Tours 2 and 3, the guide does not board the Li River cruise and meets you again in Yangshuo.
※ In peak season (June–August), leave a note when booking if you wish to go bamboo rafting. Payment is made on site.

- Tour 1: Longji scenic area shuttle bus: CNY 40 per passenger (mandatory transfer to the scenic shuttle bus for group vehicles of 10 seats or more)
- Tour 1 – optional: long-hair performance (CNY 80 per person), Ping'an Village electric buggy (CNY 30 one way or CNY 50 round trip per person, available instead of the 30-minute hike).
- Personal expenses, accommodation and tips.
- Tours 2 and 3 – optional: Yangshuo pier shuttle bus (CNY 15 per person), bicycle or scooter (CNY 30–50 per person), bamboo rafting on the Yulong River (CNY 200–320 per raft).
- Children aged 5 and under: the tour price includes transportation only. Cruise seats and meals are not included and can be purchased on site if needed.

Pickup is from hotels in central Guilin. According to the itinerary, Tours 1 and 4 pick up between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, and Tours 2 and 3 between 7:10 and 7:50 AM. The operator recommends staying in central areas such as near Elephant Trunk Hill Park, Seven Star Park or Guilin Railway Station.
