Leave Guilin and
walk through two villages of the Longji terraces
Meet at Sheraton Guilin Hotel at 08:30 and ride a coach for about 2.5 hours to the Longji Rice Terraces. An English-speaking guide accompanies you as you explore on foot from the Ancient Zhuang Village to Ping'an Village, with no shopping stops. The tour lasts about 10.5 hours.
Meet ethnic minority daily life in the Ancient Zhuang Village
Around 11:00, arrive at the ticket office above the Ancient Zhuang Village, take a short break, then tour the village with your guide. Between well-preserved old houses and stone paths, see the terraces cascading down the mountain. Next, learn about local history and culture at the eco-museum and visit a local home to chat with villagers and see their daily life up close.
Hike along the terraces to Ping'an Village
Around 13:00, walk for about 1 hour across gently rolling terraces to Ping'an Village. Along the way, stop to watch the Yao women's long hair show, which presents hair care secrets passed down for generations. On arrival in Ping'an Village, enjoy a Zhuang-style lunch with rice cooked in bamboo tubes.
Climb to the Seven Stars with Moon and Nine Dragons Five Tigers viewpoints
Around 15:00, hike up to Ping'an's two signature viewpoints, Seven Stars with Moon (七星伴月) and Nine Dragons Five Tigers (九龙五虎). Take in the panorama of terraces winding along the contours of the mountains. Board the coach around 17:30 and arrive in downtown Guilin around 19:00.
