This guided day trip from Paris takes you to the Normandy D-Day landing beaches, the historic stage of World War II. With an English-speaking guide, you'll visit the Utah Beach Museum, the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery. Enjoy priority entry to the Utah Beach Museum, where you can see a B-26 Marauder bomber up close, and a light lunch is included.
Meet your guide at the meeting point near Porte Maillot in Paris (25 Bd Pershing) and travel about 3 hours by coach to Normandy. On the way to the coast, your guide tells you about Operation Overlord.
At Utah Beach, where American troops first landed on June 6, 1944, explore the museum set in a real German bunker with priority entry. One of the six remaining B-26 bombers is on display, and you'll hear the stories of the soldiers who changed history. Afterwards, enjoy a light lunch at a local restaurant.
On top of the 30-meter cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, bomb craters and concrete bunkers remain to this day. This is where Allied Rangers scaled the rock face under enemy fire to destroy German guns.
Walk along the sands of Omaha Beach, scene of the fiercest fighting on D-Day. At the Normandy American Cemetery above the beach, stroll among rows of white crosses, read the soldiers' names and look out over the beach. After the visits, travel about 3 hours by coach back to the starting point.
