From Shinhotaka Onsen Station, ride the panoramic No.1 Ropeway up to Nabedaira Kogen Station in about 4 minutes. Walk about 3 minutes from Nabedaira Kogen Station to Shirakabadaira Station, then board the double-decker gondola of the No.2 Ropeway to reach Nishi-Hotakaguchi Station in about 7 minutes. The No.1 Ropeway departs every hour at :00 and :30, and the No.2 Ropeway every hour at :15 and :45.

From the summit observation deck on the roof of Nishi-Hotakaguchi Station, the majestic mountains of the Northern Alps spread out in 360°. You can take photos and relax amid scenery that feels like being above the clouds.

The Shinhotaka Ropeway operates all year round. You can see the nature of the Northern Alps, which changes with each season, from the ropeway windows and the observation deck. With the round-trip ticket, the uphill ride is valid on the day of issue, and the downhill ride is valid for 3 days including the day of issue.
