After an early-morning pickup from your accommodation in the Khao Lak, Khao Sok or Phuket area, travel to Khao Sok National Park in an air-conditioned van. On the way, stop at the Khao Sok viewpoint to photograph the morning mist and lush evergreen forest. Next, visit the Nam Rad watershed forest with its clear streams, where you can swim and take in the scenery.

Tour the lake by boat and spend the night in a floating bungalow

At Cheow Lan Lake, cruise past the lake's sights on the way to the raft house, where you have a local lunch. After checking in to your floating bungalow, head out by boat again in the late afternoon to circle the sunset-lit lake and look for wildlife such as birds, reptiles and mammals.

After dinner, enjoy free time under a star-filled sky. Depending on availability, you stay at Phupa Waree Raft House, Laguna Cheow Lan or Keereewarin Rafthouse, and rooms have air conditioning and a private bathroom and shower.

Start the morning with sunrise kayaking and a jungle walk

Wake up with a cup of coffee and paddle out by kayak to watch the sun rise between the peaks. After a hearty breakfast, check out and cruise across the lake to several sights. As you walk along a jungle trail, the guide explains the local flora and fauna.
