Khao Sok Cheow Lan Lake 2-Day Tour - Superior Floating Bungalow Overnight

Spend a night in a floating bungalow
on Cheow Lan Lake

Check in at the tour operator's office and meet your guide. Large luggage can be stored at the office. Transfer to Ratchaprapha Dam at the edge of Cheow Lan Lake, surrounded by limestone scenery, check in to the park and board a traditional longtail boat for an approximately 1-hour cruise across the lake to the floating bungalow.

After checking in to the floating bungalow, have lunch by the lake. During free time, relax, swim or go kayaking.

Trek the jungle with a guide and go on an evening safari

Ride a longtail boat to the trailhead and go jungle trekking with your guide. The route is chosen by the guide depending on the season and leads to a cave, viewpoint or waterfall. In the evening, when animals are most active, set out on a longtail boat safari. If the safari is not possible, you can explore the lake freely by kayak. Dinner is a Thai meal of fresh fish, vegetables, spicy Thai soup and omelette.

Look for wildlife on the misty morning lake

Before breakfast, have tea or coffee and board a longtail boat for a morning mist safari. With luck, you may see macaques, dusky langurs, great hornbills, wild boar, gibbons and occasionally even wild elephants. For breakfast, choose from khao tom (savory rice porridge), eggs and toast, or fried rice with local stir-fry.

Stop at the Guilin scenic area and return to the office

Check out of the bungalow and, on the way back to the pier by longtail boat, stop at Guilin, the lake's signature scenery, for photos. You can also swim beside the boat. The tour ends at around 12:00 when you return to the local office to collect your luggage and packed lunch.
