Highlights
This is an admission ticket to NINPAKU (Iwabitsu Sanada Ninja Museum), a ninja-themed museum in Agatsuma, Gunma. It displays more than 300 authentic ninja tools such as shuriken, kusarigama, chain weights and trick weapons, and some can be handled in person. Admission includes the experience fee, so you can also enjoy ninja activities like VR sword fighting and shuriken throwing. As an indoor facility, it is a good stop on a family trip in any weather.

authentic ninja tools
Centered on the Yamagishi Collection gathered over 50 years, NINPAKU displays more than 300 ninja cultural artifacts including shuriken, kusarigama, chain weights, trick weapons and scrolls. You can also see tools related to the Sanada ninja found in the Agatsuma area, and some exhibits can be held in your hands. A roughly 2-minute ninja projection mapping show also takes place in the exhibition space.
Take on Sanada Yukimura in VR sword fighting
In the VR sword fighting experience, you can face off against Sanada Yukimura in a virtual world. Admission includes one try per person, and additional tries cost 200 yen each.
Throw shuriken and get through the traps
Choose either real iron shuriken or rubber shuriken that are easy for children to use, and throw 10 times. On the second floor, you can try a spy challenge: step over and crawl under rope traps with bells to steal the treasure. Based on your results, your ninja rank is assessed and you receive your own certificate.
※ Children below elementary school age cannot use VR sword fighting.
