This is an entrance ticket to the Lisbon Oceanarium (Oceanário de Lisboa), located on the riverside of Parque das Nações in Lisbon. More than 8,000 marine creatures of around 500 species are displayed across four habitats: the North Atlantic, the Antarctic, the temperate Pacific and the tropical Indian Ocean. Around the large central tank you can see sharks, coral reefs, sea otters and many other creatures up close, and one ticket covers all permanent and temporary exhibitions. You can also choose a guided tour option in English or Portuguese led by a marine educator.
The Lisbon Oceanarium opened in 1998 on the site of the Lisbon Expo. The exhibition space is divided into four areas representing the North Atlantic, the Antarctic, the temperate Pacific and the tropical Indian Ocean. Large acrylic panels separate the central tank from each area, giving the impression that all the creatures swim together in a single ocean.
More than 8,000 sea creatures of around 500 species are on display, including sharks, coral reefs and sea otters. Your ticket gives access to all permanent and temporary exhibitions.
At the "Sea Monsters" temporary exhibition in the main atrium, travel back more than 400 million years of marine history and discover the prehistoric giants that once ruled the oceans. Life-size models of large marine predators show the evolution of ocean life from its earliest forms to the top predators of different geological eras. Created in partnership with Dino Parque Lourinhã, the exhibition is designed for visitors of all ages.
If you choose the English or Portuguese guided tour option, you can explore the aquarium while listening to a marine educator. Guided tours start at set times.
※ The "Sea Monsters" exhibition runs until November 1, 2026.
※ Opening hours are 10:00–20:00 daily, with last entry at 19:00.
