The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in central Vang Vieng at the scheduled time. If you choose the morning balloon, the flight comes first; if you choose the afternoon balloon, you ride the longtail boat first and then fly. Each transfer by tuk-tuk takes about 30 minutes.
Fly over the Vang Vieng countryside in a hot air balloon
As the balloon slowly rises with the roar of the burner, the Nam Song River and emerald rice fields spread out below, with limestone mountains in the distance. You fly for about 30 minutes with an experienced balloon pilot and receive a flight certificate afterwards. After a morning flight, you return to your hotel to rest and are picked up again for the boat ride.
Ride the Nam Song River rapids by longtail boat
After putting on safety equipment and receiving instructions from a professional instructor, you board the longtail boat. For about 30 minutes, you travel along the turquoise Nam Song River through small rapids, between jungle and rugged peaks. After the ride, you return to your hotel by vehicle.
