A good way to spend a less sunny afternoon in Hoi An. My guide was really good fun and we saw some places I would not have otherwise seen. The best thing was just riding around really and seeing life outside the more touristy places.

Went on the Hoi An: Half-day countryside Tour by Motorbike with friendly, humble and unpretentious guides, Mr Hau and Mr Y. The itinerary was packed with visits organic vegetable farms in Tra Que, Thanh Ha Pottery Village, a traditional mat weaving workshop, a woodworking workshop and a rice paper and noodles producer. More than a "show and tell" of cottage industries, you get to try your hands at mat weaving, woodcarving and even rice noodle making. Mr Hau also showed agricultural patches and aquaculture spots. Communication in English was enough for a good conversation. It's like having a friend take you around their hometown for local experiences. Enjoyable and informative.

Ride with an Easy Rider
through Hoi An's countryside villages

This is a half-day private tour of about 4 hours exploring the Hoi An countryside on the back of a motorbike driven by an experienced local driver (Easy Rider). After pickup from your hotel in Hoi An between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, you will visit Tra Que Vegetable Village and Thanh Ha Pottery Village, returning to your hotel around 12:30 PM.

You do not drive yourself, so no motorbike experience is needed. Your English-speaking driver will share stories about the area along the way.

Enjoy rural scenery along the rice fields

For about an hour after pickup, ride along quiet country roads away from the tourist routes and enjoy views of rice fields and villages. The route may include unpaved or uneven roads.

Try farming at Tra Que Vegetable Village

Spend about an hour at Tra Que Vegetable Village, where organic vegetables are grown. Learn how local farmers grow their crops, join hands-on farming activities and meet the friendly villagers.

Discover traditional crafts at Thanh Ha Pottery Village

Spend about 45 minutes exploring Thanh Ha Pottery Village and learning about traditional pottery techniques. Then stop for about 30 minutes along a scenic country road for photos before returning to your hotel.
