Life Puppets builds on traditional Vietnamese water puppetry, combining it with string puppetry, shadow puppetry, animated puppetry and contemporary dance. Its chapters, starring the 12 zodiac animals, are told through music and movement rather than dialogue, so anyone can enjoy it regardless of language. The show runs about 1 hour, and you choose the show time when booking.

a Vietnamese fish trap

Do Theatre was inspired by the "cái đó", a traditional trap used in Vietnam to catch fish and shrimp. Standing as a giant fish trap on Bai Tien Beach in north Nha Trang, its unique exterior is worth a look before or after the show.

The chapters include a battle for survival between a fierce dragon and a gentle buffalo, rivalry among cunning rats, a vain monkey and the revival of lovable calves. The splashing water stage, lighting and the movements of puppets and dancers come together to depict interdependence, coexistence and the challenges of life.

Throughout the show, the ethnic minority instrumental orchestra SEASOUL plays live on traditional Vietnamese instruments such as the đàn bầu and đàn tranh. Seats are divided into Dragon, Tiger and Zodiac zones, each with a different price. Signature options also include a Vietnam scented candle and a hand-made crochet cow souvenir.
