The Chum Show is a performance of about 1 hour that brings traditional Vietnamese village life to the stage through acrobatics, contemporary dance and live music. With no dialogue, it can be enjoyed by all ages and nationalities.

The venue is Do Theater inside the Vega City complex on Bai Tien Beach, north of Nha Trang. The building is inspired by a traditional bamboo fish trap (cai do). The show is held at 3:00 PM on scheduled dates, and the schedule changes weekly, so please double-check your date and time when booking.

A humble clay jar takes center stage

The show begins with the chum, the traditional clay jar seen in courtyards across rural Vietnam. Once the heart of village life, the jar is reimagined as a medium of artistic expression that captures the purity, resilience and joy of the Vietnamese people.

Village stories told through acrobatics and dance

High-level acrobatics, contemporary dance and dynamic theatrical storytelling bring everyday tales of farming, community and local life to life. The stage turns into a space where timeless heritage meets avant-garde performance.

Live music on traditional instruments

A local ethnic orchestra plays live music on handmade traditional instruments throughout the show. The melodies of the mouth harp, the rhythm of traditional drums and the resonance of gongs create the atmosphere of the performance.
