This half-day private car tour covers the highlights of Hue, the former capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, Vietnam's last royal dynasty. Depending on your option, you visit the Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda and the Perfume River by dragon boat, or two royal tombs, accompanied by a guide or a driver. Only your group takes part, and you are dropped off at your hotel in Hue at the end.

Explore the UNESCO-listed Hue Imperial City

At the Imperial City, once the heart of the royal capital, walk past ancient gates, palaces and temples and learn about the Nguyen Dynasty. The visit lasts about 2 hours.

Ride a dragon boat to Thien Mu Pagoda

Board a traditional dragon boat for a relaxing cruise of about 30 minutes along the Perfume River, one way from Toa Kham Pier to Thien Mu Pagoda. Built in the 17th century, Thien Mu Pagoda is one of the oldest and most iconic religious buildings in Hue, rich in legends.

Visit the royal tombs and Thuy Xuan Incense Village

With the tomb options, visit two of the following: the Tomb of Minh Mang at the foot of Cam Khe Mountain, the Tomb of Khai Dinh on Chau Chu Mountain, which blends Vietnamese and European architecture, and the Tomb of Tu Duc in a peaceful valley in Thuy Xuan, where the emperor wrote poetry and rested. Depending on the itinerary, stop at Thuy Xuan Incense Village to see how traditional incense is made, try making it yourself and take photos.
