This 3-day course leads to the internationally recognized PADI Open Water Diver certification. You learn how to dive safely to a depth of 18 m, and once certified you can enjoy diving in oceans around the world.

Groups are limited to 4 participants, so a certified PADI instructor can guide you closely, and you are picked up from your hotel in the Duong Dong area.

Learn theory and basic skills on day 1

On day 1 you study dive theory through PADI eLearning or an in-person session. Then, in confined water such as a pool or shallow water, you practice using the equipment and basic skills like mask clearing, regulator recovery and buoyancy control. The first day focuses on skill practice rather than exploration.

Head out by boat for your first open water dives

On day 2 you go by boat to two different sites for 2 open water dives. Each dive lasts about 45 minutes as you practice your skills and begin exploring the reef. Food and drinks are provided on board.

Descend to 18 m and explore the coral reef

On day 3 you make 2 more open water dives and go down to the maximum allowed depth of 18 m. You explore the coral reef, observe marine life and reinforce your skills to complete the course.
