Phu Quoc Rach Vem Starfish Beach, Cua Can Kayaking and Grand World Tour with Lunch

The excursion was great and Harry, our tour guide,was very friendly and informative. We were not expecting to have a professional photographer with us all the time, so we didn't really take advantage of it. Starfish beach was fantastic, but some tourists must learn how to behave with starfish and stop taking them out of water... All in all, a good tour and a well spent half a day.

Seeing the starfish was great and the lunch was also very good. I would have enjoyed learning about the starfish instead of just taking pictures of them. The time at the restaurant was too long. Overall, though, the guide Jake was very friendly and helpful, and having someone there to take pictures was also a nice touch.

The transportation was on time and really good. The staff is friendly.

We were collected from our hotel in a minibus which was great and the speedboat ride to Starfish Beach was fine but 3 hours on the beach was maybe a little too long. We would have liked to learn more about the starfish and the way the locals were living on stilted houses in the sea. The many people who visited the beach (not just those on our tour) seemed to be more interested in taking selfies for social media than the starfish. Some of them even gathered up a number of starfish to put into shapes for photos and then left them on the beach. My partner spent most of the morning putting them back into the water so they didn’t die! Maybe if people were more educated about these amazing creatures, they wouldn’t treat them with such disdain. There seemed to be no guidance or ‘policing’ of the situation, which was sad. The lunch on the floating restaurant was good but I wouldn’t exactly call it a ‘cooking experience’. Afterwards we were dropped back at our hotel. A decent enough trip.

Transportation and guide were top notch from the very start. Safe driving and a tour guide who gave so much info along the way. The trip itself was actually more like just. Speedboat ride to starfish beach and 3 hours on the beach which was a bit too long as there’s really nothing there apart from some showers (extra charge), makeshift kiosk, a bar and free toilets. Tourists abusing the starfish not listening to instructions and no one to police or monitor the handling of these living creatures. Yes, they are alive- living and breathing. The lunch on the floating restaurant was local and super delicious. No cooking experience and no choice in ‘gift’.
