inside Ginza Mitsukoshi, Tokyo

This is an admission ticket to the ART AQUARIUM MUSEUM in the Ginza Mitsukoshi New Building, Tokyo. Goldfish, aquariums, light and traditional Japanese design come together to turn the whole venue into a single work of art.

On your selected date and time slot, show your mobile ticket at the 9th-floor reception and enter the exhibition on the 8th floor. Open 10:00 to 19:00, last admission 18:00.

The endless Goldfish Corridor

Step into the Goldfish Corridor, lined with mirrors and glowing aquarium columns, and the space seems to stretch on forever. Looking down from the platform decorated with Japanese patterns, the space appears to extend below as well. The work expresses the corridors of temple and shrine architecture.

The Oiran Series and traditional craft tanks

See large-scale installations that use neon light to evoke the elegance of Edo-era oiran, and glass tanks inspired by origami and temari (silk balls). The shapes of the tanks bend and magnify the swimming goldfish.

Bamboo forest and goldfish waterfall

Explore a tranquil space of lanterns and bamboo forest, and a goldfish waterfall where water cascades down tiered glass walls. You can also see works pairing seasonal flowers with digital projections and collaborations with artists from various fields.
