Highlights
This 2-day, 1-night tour departs from Mataram on Lombok, crosses to Sumbawa by ferry, and lets you snorkel with whale sharks at sunrise in Saleh Bay. On the first day you stay one night at a hotel in Labuan Jambu (shared twin room), and early on the second day you head out to the whale shark area by traditional wooden boat. Program
Take the ferry from Lombok
across to Sumbawa
Meet at Hotel Pratama in Mataram for a briefing, then head to Kayangan Port. After the ferry arrives at Poto Tano Port on Sumbawa, you move to the Utan area to pick up a lunch box.
Stay one night at a hotel in Labuan Jambu
You have a meal on the way, then check in at the hotel in Labuan Jambu and rest. One night in a shared twin room is included. You leave very early the next morning, so please get ready in advance.
Snorkel with whale sharks at sunrise
On day two you wake up at 4:00 a.m. and set off by traditional wooden boat to the whale shark area in Saleh Bay. Once you reach the bagan (fishing platform), you snorkel with whale sharks around sunrise. After swimming, you enjoy a light breakfast of tea, coffee, bread and fruit on board.
Hotel breakfast and return to Lombok
Back at the hotel, you freshen up, have breakfast and check out. Then you head to Poto Tano Port and take the ferry back to Lombok.
※ Whale sharks are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed. If you don't see whale sharks on the first try, you can stay one more day and go out again the next day, or receive a full refund (operator policy).
