After meeting your guide in Levi, you travel to a wilderness area chosen according to the day's weather and sky conditions. The quiet forests and open terrain far from the village lights are ideal for stargazing, and with luck you may also see the northern lights. The tour runs in a small group of up to 8 adults.
Gear up with a thermal suit and snowshoes and walk through the snow
On arrival, you put on a thermal suit, snowshoes, hiking poles and a head torch and start the hike. The route follows easy natural terrain at a pace that leaves time to stop, look around, rest and ask the guide questions.
Learn about constellations and the northern lights with your guide
As you pass through snowy landscapes, your guide points out visible constellations and shares stories about Arctic nature and the night sky. If the northern lights appear, you take time to watch the sky and take photos before continuing. Professional photos are included, so you can focus on the walk and the night sky without worrying about your camera.
Warm up with a hot meal in the wilderness
During a break in the walk, you enjoy a warm Scandinavian-style dinner, coffee or tea and biscuits. After warming up while gazing at the sky and the quiet surroundings, you continue the walk, and the tour ends in Levi.
