Depart from your accommodation in Kathmandu
and head to Chandragiri Hills
After pickup from your accommodation in Kathmandu, travel about 45 minutes to the Chandragiri cable car station in a vehicle driven by a professional driver. Departures run between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, making it easy to fit into your Kathmandu itinerary.
Ride the cable car above the forest
Ride the cable car for about 15 minutes over lush forests to the summit. As you ascend, the Himalayan peaks gradually come into view.
Explore Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple and the viewpoint
At the 2,551 m summit, visit the sacred Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple with your guide for about 15 minutes. Then spend about 45 minutes at the viewpoint enjoying a 180-degree panorama of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley, taking photos in the fresh mountain air. On clear days, you may even see Mount Everest in the distance.
Ride down by cable car and return to Kathmandu
After your visit, ride the cable car down for about 15 minutes, then drive about 45 minutes back to your pickup location.
