Program
Depart from your accommodation in Kathmandu
and head to the Chandragiri cable car station
After pickup from your accommodation in the Kathmandu Valley, drive about 45 minutes to the Chandragiri cable car station. Group tours depart at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and you may need to wait briefly at pickup as the vehicle stops at several accommodations.
Ride the cable car up to Chandragiri Hills
Ride the cable car for about 25 minutes over green forests to the hilltop. At the top, enjoy a Himalayan panorama with your guide for about 1 hour, followed by about 30 minutes of free time. You can try the zip line for an extra fee if you wish.
Visit Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple
Explore Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple on top of Chandragiri Hills with your guide for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, ride the cable car down for about 25 minutes.
Look out over the Kathmandu Valley from Swayambhunath
Drive about 40 minutes to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. One of the oldest and most sacred religious sites in Nepal, you will explore it with your guide for about 1 hour, enjoying sweeping views of the Kathmandu Valley and its Buddhist and Hindu heritage. After the tour, drive about 30 minutes back to your starting point.
※ Chandragiri cable car tickets and the Swayambhunath entrance fee are not included.
