The Chiayi City Historical Relic Museum is located on Gongyuan Road in the East District of Chiayi City. Built in 1943, this Tang-style wooden building is full of Japanese character.
Once the purification hall and office of Chiayi Shrine
The building served as the purification hall and administrative office of the Chiayi Shrine. The purification hall was where worshippers fasted and prepared before visiting the shrine, and the office handled the shrine's administrative affairs.
