Program
Meet your host at the Statue of Louis XIV
and enter the Palace of Versailles
Meet your host at the Equestrian Statue of Louis XIV on the main square outside the palace. Your host will help with digital check-in and introduce the Passport ticket that gives access to every area, the smartphone audio guide app, and useful local tips for your visit. After a short orientation, walk with your host to the main entrance and go in.
Tour the Hall of Mirrors with the audio guide
Inside the palace, explore the Hall of Mirrors, the lavish King's and Queen's State Apartments and the grand reception rooms at your own pace. This is not a guided tour: you visit freely while listening to commentary on the smartphone audio guide app.
Explore the gardens, the Trianons and the Queen's Hamlet freely
After the main palace, stroll through the gardens decorated with fountains and classical sculptures. Your Passport ticket also gives access to the Trianon Estate, including the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon and the Queen's Hamlet built for Marie-Antoinette. Entry to the Gallery of Coaches and temporary exhibitions is included as well.
Choose a morning or afternoon entry
With the morning option, you meet your host at 8:45 AM to collect your ticket and enter the palace at 9:00 AM. It is a good way to see the Hall of Mirrors before the afternoon crowds and then enjoy the gardens. With the afternoon option, you meet your host at 1:30 PM and enter the palace at 2:00 PM. It is ideal for visiting the gardens or the Trianon palaces (open from 12:00 PM) before the palace.
