Leave Venice
for the Cinque Torri
Travel by minivan to the Cinque Torri in the Dolomites. A GAE guide accompanies the tour, which runs in a small group of up to 8 people. On arrival, you hike up or take the chairlift (extra cost) to the mountain huts.
Climb past the huts up to Nuvolau
Pass Rifugio Scoiattoli (2,225 m) and Rifugio Averau (2,413 m) and climb up to Rifugio Nuvolau (2,575 m). If you wish, you can have lunch at Rifugio Averau (at your own cost), and near the summit you can enjoy a 360-degree mountain panorama.
Explore the open-air WWI museum
Visit the open-air museum of First World War trenches at the Cinque Torri and watch climbers on the Cinque Torri rock faces. Then walk down the trail into the park or return by chairlift.
Stop in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Spend about 1 hour in Cortina d'Ampezzo before returning to Venice. A drone video service is also included during the tour.
