Explore the DMZ and Seoul
city highlights over 2 days from Seoul
This 2-day tour starts with a day at Imjingak Peace Nuri Park, the Third Tunnel and Dora Observatory, followed by a second day from Gyeongbokgung Palace to N Seoul Tower. With an English-speaking guide, you learn about the division of the Korean Peninsula at the DMZ and discover royal heritage and traditional culture in downtown Seoul.
The DMZ entrance ticket and entrance to the attractions on the itinerary are included.
Day 1: Learn the history of division at the DMZ
At Imjingak Peace Nuri Park you see the Bridge of Freedom, the Mangbaedan altar and a steam locomotive damaged in the war. At the Third Tunnel, discovered in 1978, you walk down into the tunnel while your guide explains its history. On clear days you can see North Korean villages and the Kaesong area from the windows and telescopes of Dora Observatory.
You also meet a North Korean defector, hear about life in North Korea, the journey to freedom and starting a new life in South Korea, and take part in a live Q&A.
Day 2: See the royal heritage of Gyeongbokgung Palace

After driving past the Blue House, you explore Gyeongbokgung, the largest of the five grand palaces of the Joseon dynasty. If time allows, you may also see the royal guard changing ceremony. Inside the palace grounds, the National Folk Museum shows how ordinary Koreans lived through farming, home life and seasonal customs.
Head to N Seoul Tower via Jogyesa and Insadong

You walk through Jogyesa Temple, the main temple of Korean Seon Buddhism, and Insadong, a street of galleries, craft shops and tea houses. You stroll around Namsangol Hanok Village with its restored traditional houses and gardens, then finish at N Seoul Tower on top of Namsan for views over the city.
※ The itinerary may change depending on local conditions.
※ The N Seoul Tower cable car is included, but the observatory ticket is not.
