This group tour starts near Seoul City Hall and takes a bus to Imjingak, the DMZ area and Haengjusanseong Fortress over about 7.5 hours. It pairs a site of the division of Korea with a historic fortress, so you can see both the past and the present of Korea in one trip.

Learn about the division at Imjingak and the DMZ

A bus ride of about 1.5 hours takes you to Imjingak. You spend about 1 hour there, followed by about 3 hours in the DMZ area, all with your guide.

You can visit places such as a viewpoint overlooking North Korea, historical exhibits and sites that show the lasting effects of the Korean War. The DMZ is also an ecological preserve where nature has been protected for decades.

Walk through the history of the Battle of Haengju

After the DMZ, the bus takes about 40 minutes to Haengjusanseong Fortress. Standing along the Han River, it is the site of the Battle of Haengju in 1593, where the Joseon army won against the invaders despite being heavily outnumbered.

You spend about 50 minutes with your guide walking along the fortress walls and through the park.

Enjoy the Han River scenery and return to Seoul

The fortress sits along the Han River, and the walls and park offer peaceful views. After the visit, a bus of about 1 hour brings you back to the meeting point.
