Meaning 'fragmented sand,' it features small sand dunes in the grasslands, offering a desert experience without traveling to the distant Gobi Desert, making it a popular tourist destination. Introduction to Key Destinations

1. Kharkhorin Wall:
Kharkhorin was the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan and is home to the Erdene Zuu Monastery.
The wall surrounding the monastery is 400m long and wide, with 108 stupas (stone towers) on top.

2. Erdene Zuu Monastery:
The first Lama Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, Erdene Zuu Monastery, was founded by Ogatai Khan, son of Genghis Khan, in the 13th century in Karakorum (Kharkhorin) as he expanded his territory into Europe.

3. Ger (Yurt Stay):
Mongolia has transformed from a traditional nomadic society to a society where people live in fixed houses, mainly in large cities. However, most of the residents living in the grasslands outside the capital, Ulaanbaatar, still live in gers (yurts). You can experience a ger firsthand.

4. Elsen Tasarkhai Desert:
Enjoy the Mongolian desert by riding sand sleds on the sand dunes and trekking while watching the sunset.
