BESTThe line was quite long, but it was nice to have to wait.
With the largest collection of art in the world,
Uffizi Gallery
The Uffizi Gallery is home to the world's largest collection of art and is a must-see when visiting Florence. The Uffizi Gallery was originally built as an administrative office by the Medici family, but was turned into a museum by Francesco Medici. Since then, a huge number of works of art have been collected, and the Medici family's passion for art and culture has led to the creation of this magnificent museum.
The museum consists of the 2nd and 3rd floors. The 2nd floor has only one exhibition room where sketches by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo are displayed, and the 3rd floor displays paintings and sculptures.
Uffizi Gallery,
The fastest way to enter
The Uffizi Gallery is famous for being the most visited among Italian art museums. Among the various works totaling approximately 2,500 pieces, you can see works by famous artists ranging from Byzantine art to the Renaissance, including Michelangelo, Botticelli, Giotto, da Vinci, and Raphael.
Because there are so many works, I recommend starting from the 3rd floor, where famous paintings are located! The Uffizi Museum is always crowded with more than 2 million visitors every year, so purchase a quick-admission ticket from WAUG and conveniently visit the Uffizi Gallery at the designated time!
Let’s meet from the 3rd floor without worrying about the route.
We recommend entering the Uffizi Gallery from the basement and viewing from the 3rd floor. This is because most popular works are on the 3rd floor. Unlike other art museums, the long hallway is in the shape of an 'ㄷ', so it is best to view it in the order in which you move. The hallway is decorated with full-length statues of gods from Greek and Roman mythology and portraits of people who supported the Medici family.
Exhibition rooms worth noting are room 3 with Martini's 'Annunciation', Botticelli's room in the middle, next to it room 15 by Leonardo da Vinci, room 25 by Michelangelo, room 26 with works by Raphael, and room 26 by Titian. This is room 28, where the ‘Venus of Urbino’ is located. You must not miss this place!
Introducing the most popular exhibition rooms
The most popular exhibition room in the Uffizi Gallery is Exhibition Room 7, where you can see paintings from the Florentine School, which was at the beginning of the 15th century Renaissance. Here, you can see the works of Masaccio, who is called the master of perspective, and Paolo Uccello, who studied perspective drawing.
You should also visit exhibition rooms 3 and 4. Here you can see Duccio's paintings and the works of his students Simone Martini and Rosenzetti. Next, in exhibition rooms 5 and 6, you can see paintings in the International Gothic style of the 15th century, including ‘The Adoration of the Magi’ by Gentile da Fabriano and Lorenzo Monaco.
You can download a map of the Uffizi Gallery that is easy to navigate along the route here .

In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the Uffizi Gallery hosts various special exhibitions. It is famous for the quality of its special exhibitions.
