What are the advantages of the JR Hokkaido Rail Pass?

The Hokkaido Rail Pass combines the Sapporo-Noboribetsu Area Pass and the Sapporo-Furano Area Pass, allowing you to freely travel from Noboribetsu to Furano and Biei for 5 days. You can use all JR trains and travel throughout Hokkaido, from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo, Otaru, Noboribetsu, Furano, and Biei.

Unlike area passes, you can use both reserved and non-reserved seats. However, you cannot use the Hokkaido Shinkansen, Donan Isaribi Railway, streetcars, or subways.

How to Reserve Seats

The Hokkaido Rail Pass allows you to use reserved seats in ordinary cars (excluding the SL Fuyu-no-Shitsugen Train).
