Looking at you while wearing a kimono
Panoramic view of Tokyo
Skytree, the world's tallest free-standing tower, is a landmark visited by many tourists because it offers a view of Tokyo's downtown area as well as Tokyo Bay and Mt. Fuji. In addition to being the tallest tower in Tokyo, it has an ultra-modern design and is divided into 350m and 450m sections, allowing you to view Tokyo from various angles. There are also plenty of fun elements, such as the aerial walk that makes you feel like you're walking in the sky. You can enjoy a delicious meal while looking at the night view of Tokyo at the restaurant on the Tembo Deck floor, and you can also have coffee at the Skytree Cafe.
The package also includes a one-day rental ticket for a beautiful traditional Japanese kimono. The kimono rental shop has a wide variety of kimonos, so you can choose the design you want.
Don't miss out on the Tokyo Skytree and nearby tourist destination Asakusa, where you can feel the local atmosphere while wearing a beautiful kimono!
Tokyo's new landmark
'Sky Tree'
Completed in 2016, Tokyo Skytree is Tokyo's newest landmark, the first in 100 years since Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Skytree is a whopping 634 meters tall, making it the world's tallest freestanding broadcasting tower.
Tokyo Skytree was named Skytree with the meaning of 'a large tree reaching toward the sky' and is well known to have been designed by Japan's greatest sculptor, Kiichi Sumikawa.
Tokyo Skytree has observation decks at 350m and 450m high, and on a clear day, you can see up to 75km from the observation decks, including Mt. Fuji. And at night, you can see the sparkling Tokyo night view and Tokyo Tower, making it a must-see attraction.
Take a walk along the Sky View Corridor
The most famous spot in Tokyo Skytree is the observation deck at 450m. The observation deck is a glass-covered slope that makes you feel like you are taking a walk in the air. So even if you pay a little more, I highly recommend visiting the 450m observation deck.
As you move along the observation deck, you will come across the highest point, Sorakara Point, at an altitude of 451.2m. It would be nice to see that point as well.
Introducing Sorakara Points
The highest point you can see when you move through the observation corridor is the Sorakara Point, a space created as shown in the photo above. The geometric round shape created by light and glass feels mysterious. And it is a very pretty place with a unique sense of space, a sense of floating, and a sculpture inspired by the round Earth.
Skytree 345 Musashi Sky Restaurant
Musashi 634, the highest restaurant in Tokyo at 345m above ground, is a Tokyo cuisine where you can dine while enjoying a fantastic view of Tokyo. If you are traveling to Tokyo with your lover, be sure to visit Musashi 634 and propose.
Enjoying Japanese cuisine with a stunning view will make for a perfect day.
Introducing Skytree Cafe
After enjoying the view from the 350m high tower, how about an iced Americano with a great view at the Skytree Cafe? You can enjoy a variety of menus including coffee, various drinks, and original sweet snacks!
Enjoy Skytree even more fun!
Tokyo Skytree hosts a variety of fun events and activities every month. Currently, Tokyo Skytree is hosting Skytree Yoga, where you can experience yoga at a height of 450 meters above ground, in collaboration with the All Japan Yoga Federation.
There are various other events, so be sure to check them out in advance by checking the events and then go on your trip!
I recommend Skytree souvenirs
The Tokyo Skytree Shop is a great place to buy a variety of travel souvenirs. In particular, the 'Tokyo Skytree Fromage Sand' is one of the most popular souvenirs. It is a cookie covered in white chocolate with a Camembert flavor, and it is so pretty and delicious that it makes a great gift without being burdensome.
Don't miss out on experiencing traditional Japanese clothing, kimono!
