Kyoto is a popular tourist destination because it has beautiful nature and scenery, and because it contains Japanese traditions. If you want to make a special memory, how about a rickshaw tour? Rickshaws have tents so you can use them regardless of whether it's snowing or raining, and you can also hear local information that isn't in guidebooks from a local guide wearing a kimono, making it even more special. Take a rickshaw and explore places you can't go by car!
Enjoying the view from a rickshaw
Beautiful Kyoto scenery
This Arashiyama rickshaw tour will make you feel like you've traveled back in time to Kyoto's past. Take a rickshaw and tour around Togetsukyo Bridge, Chikurin, and Nonomiya Shrine! A stylish rickshaw driver in a kimono will be your guide and give you interesting and little-known local information.
There are 30-minute, 45-minute, and 70-minute courses available, so it’s perfect for your travel schedule. So, let’s go explore Kyoto by rickshaw!
Togetsukyo Bridge, resembling the moonlight crossing
I will introduce you to Togetsukyo Bridge, which you can see no matter which course you choose. Togetsukyo Bridge (渡月橋) is a bridge named after the character for crossing and moon because it resembles the shape of moonlight crossing. Popular tourist spots such as Tenryuji Temple and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest are gathered around it. It is famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage in fall.
A picture-perfect Arashiyama bamboo forest
This is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest that I saw on Instagram. The bamboo trees stretch so high that they almost block the sky. It’s really healing to hear the sound of the bamboo leaves swaying in the breeze.
With a view like this, wouldn't you like to get off the rickshaw and take a picture?
Arashiyama Old Town Preservation Area, where traditional Japanese houses live on
This is a town called 'Saga Toriimotomachi', a town that preserves and restores the old streets of Arashiyama. You can see the life of that time in the huts and wells. I'm really curious to see how it is different from the present, seeing the old appearance of Japan.
Rickshaw courses to choose from
[30 minutes] Bamboo Forest Course

After guiding you through the bamboo forest, this course takes you around the Sagano area. You can see the old scenery created by historical buildings such as the gate of Seiryoji and the thatched-roof Rakshisha.
